Entries are administered through the AusRFS.  Exhibitors must contact the AusRFS in plenty of time to allow

or an entry form and copy of the AusRFS Show Rules & Procedures to be forwarded.

Members and non-members of the Australian Rat Fanciers Society Inc. are welcome to enter.

ENTRY FEE: Per rat, per colour & pattern class: $2.00 for AusRFS members, $4.00 for non-members.

Ribbons for 1st, 2nd, 3rd places. Sashes for Senior and Junior Champion, Senior and Junior Reserve Champion and Senior and Junior Section winners.

Conditions of Entry: (To be read in conjuction with the Australian Rat Fanciers Society’s Regulations)

1. Entries must be received by the closing date but entry fees can be paid (cash only) to the Steward on the day.

2. Please be at the Showgrounds by 8:30am and see the Rat Section Chief Steward for assistance.

3. Rats must be brought to the show in an escape proof cage, which is clean and in good order. Rats must have access to water, food, litter and a hammock or sleeping box at all times.

4. Rat’s must be over 8 weeks of age not be pregnant or nursing, and not mind being handled by strangers. They should be clean, have had their nails trimmed, and have been treated against parasites with a drop of Revolution or Ivermectin on the back of the neck prior to the day of the show. Any animals fount to have parasites, will be automatically disqualified from competition.

5. Rats are required to be judged on an AusRFS standard show mat. Show mats are available for purchase on the day for $1 or $2.

It is important that non membors exhibitors contact the AusRFS for a copy of AusRFS show regulations, entry form and further information about procedures for the show. Please contact the AusRFS by email on ausrfs_vic@hotmail.com of by phone on 0401 741 162 prior to submitting entries.

Entry forms are availale from the AusRFS and should be emailed to the Judges Representative at ausrfs_vic@hotmail.com by Friday 11th November 2011.

Judging is divided into 2 Sections: Senior Section for adult owners and Junior Section for owners under the age of 16. Within these sections, rats are divided into 3 colour/pattern Groups, Agouti Group, Non-Agouti Group and Patterned Group, and then individual colour/pattern classes. Classes may be combined at the Judges Representative’s discretion depending on the number of entries.
